Patient Portal

 

Patients who have set up an account on our patient portal can request prescription refills, send the physician a message, and many other things including requesting an appointment. To get access to the patient portal you will need to call the office at 804-288-3277 for your login and password.

Requesting Refill:

From the home page of the patient portal click on the Prescription Refill found about 2/3 down from top of the far left menu box. The right side of screen will display a list of prescriptions our providers have written in the past for you. Simply put a check in the refill box and click on the Request button. Our nurse will get the message that day and will call you when the prescription is ready. Please allow 48 hours for us to reply.

Requesting Appointment:

You can request an appointment for Drs. Wayne or Fred Shaia, your Audiologist, or our Nurse Practitioner. From the far left menu, click on the title Patient Appointments. The right side of screen will list all scheduled appointments. Just above the list, look for the blue tab labeled Appointment Request. For the Calendar field, choose the provider. Proceed to choosing the type of appointment and your desired date; the portal will provide a list of appointment times available.

  • For Drs Shaia and the Nurse Practitioner, the only appointment type available on the portal for the moment is “Est. Patient”. This apt type is for patients who have been seen by either Doctor in the past.
  • If you would like to see your Audiologist about a hearing device (aid) concern, you should choose the appointment type VHC

Sending a message to our office:

Center section of home page on the patient portal list the latest message sent to you or by you. By clicking on the date and time, you will open up the message. To create a new message, click on the title Message Center from the far left menu box, then simple click on the tab labeled New Message. The system will require you to pick a subject, thus directs your message to the correct department. After composing your message, simply click Send Message. Please allow 48 hours for us to reply.
